The team at Reliance Home Senior Services go above and beyond. There is a home care workforce shortage because Medicaid reimbursement rates are abysmal – Dana and her team are doing everything in their power to be creative and address this shortage so they can serve families and individuals who need home care – through transportation pilots, partnering with 1199 SEIU, advocating for funding at the state level for efforts like Fair Pay for Home Care and partnering with area nursing schools. I am seriously blown away by them!

The free of charge PCA course offered by Reliance Home Senior Services is totally awesome. Classes are conducted on Saturday near the Wantagh train station. The course provides everything you need to become a certified PCA. Course topics are presented in a straight forward easy to understand manner by a doctor nurse practitioner. It doesn’t get better than this.

my mom was using Reliance home senior services since August 2022. my mom passed away April 14, 2024, I am writing about my aide Althea. Althea is amazing! she treated my mom like she was her mom. I don’t think my mom would have lived this long without the professional, and loving care that was given by Althea. Althea was by my mom side for over a year, my mom felt very safe in her care. I can’t tell you how hard it is to watch your mom die of dementia, Althea was very helpful and knowledgeable of what things to expect at the end of her life. She had taken care of other dementia patients. I was very blessed to have her taking care of my mom. She made both my mom and my life a little easier during the most horrible time of my life.
